Thank you for visiting Chesapeakecrafts.com You've come this far, so we must have a few things in common! I thought I'd create a page to tell you a little about myself and share some of my projects. My name is John and I'm a local craftsman and handyman residing along the shores of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland, hence the name of the website! That’s me standing next to a lighthouse I made. I designed and built all of the items you see here. The lifestyle here has inspired many of my ideas, and if you're a nautical enthusiast I encourage you to visit the area one day!.

Better than Blueprints!

All of my projects are one a kind and every design is my own. Ever since I took shop classes in high school, woodworking has always been my favorite pastime. I couldn't wait to have my own wood shop, and now I am living my dream. What a great hobby! All of the woodworking plans on Chesapeakecrafts.com are my own designs. I’ve carefully documented each step of the way with photos and step by step instructions so you can follow along. The guides are better than blueprints - each step is explained in detail.
