HANDCRAFTED DECORATIVE PILINGS AND SEAGULLS
Beautiful landscaping idea! Hand painted seagulls atop 100% dried and cured cedar pilings, complete with 3/4" manila rope and fish net. The pilings are 4 1/2" to 6" in diameter and stand 38" tall. The seagulls are lifesize - the landing seagull is 18" from the tip of the wing to the base and has a wingspan of 24". The seagull replicas are made of hard polyurethane, have glass eyes, and are hand painted with 25-35 year exterior paint. The pilings have a natural finish and will age (gray) naturally outside with the elements or can be easily treated with an acrylic spray or polyurethane. You can also request already-weathered pilings when you place your order. These 3-tier nautical decorations will look great in just about any indoor or outdoor environment!

Locally Handcrafted Nautical Piling Decor with Solar Light
The piling structures below are custom made in Southern Maryland. The realistic shore birds are made of durable plastic and are lifesize. No wiring is required - each has a solar light at the top. The "welcome" sign can also be customized with a house number or name. Contact me for more information or if you're interested in placing an order. Using pilings as lawn décor is very popular in fishing communities and homes wishing to convey a nautical theme. I live along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and I've seen many variations. As I drove around I noticed many people had pilings at their driveway entrances and that got me thinking of different ways I could make attractive lawn ornaments. I started making a few featuring a seagull and solar light, and they became a popular item. I even made some with ducks, shorebirds, and herons.
